Birthday Girl - 1 Year Old

Stella skyping with oma and opa traveling in Turkey. Celebrating with Eloise and Arthur. Not too sure about the chocolate zucchini cupcakes, Stella had to be coaxed through the first couple bites, coating the cake with yogurt. After a few spoonfuls she managed the cake on its own. Following Chinese custom, we played zhuā zhōu(抓周) a traditional ritual for predicting a child's future career and certain personality traits. It is done on a child's first birthday. We created our own pile of items, tending away from electronics like an iphone as she would go straight for it. You can see Stella go first, then Eloise, then Arthur.

A story from Gma & Gpa

She pulled the book off the shelf and opened it on her own. I heard my mom's voice singing and came to investigate...

Eating with a Spoon, and Soooo Polite

Driving a Chariot

They call it a chariot in French so we've ended up calling it the same in English. She loves it despite the fact that she can't steer and is trapped by the walls of the flat.

Holiday in St. Remy de Provence

While touring Les Baux, I was wondering why people kept pointing to Stella. Arno finally took a photo so I could see how she had conked out in the backpack! Thanks for the great holiday mom & dad!
